USTA Maryland 2012 Teaching Pro of the Year- Thiha Htwar

Thiha has been teaching professionally since 1986.  Formally from Rangoon Burma, Thiha is a graduate of Towson State University. He played for both UMBC and Towson, and was ranked high as number #2 in Singles and #1 in Doubles. 

Thiha is the Vice President of the The Tennis Institute which instructs tennis players from beginners to high-level tournament players. His passion for the game and love of people is evident in every lesson or clinic he offers.

Bare Hills is pleased to announce Lynn Russell Taylor has joined our team as the Director of Tennis. She was a member of the College of William and Mary Tennis Hall of Fame and most recently was the Head Tennis Coach at Notre Dame Preparatory School. We are excited to have her experience and extensive knowledge of the game in house.

 

Tennis Exhibition Featuring Hall-of-Famer JoAnne Russell a Smashing Success

Yesterday Bare Hills was visited by JoAnne Russell (pictured with Lenny Scheuermann), NCAA champ and All-American with years of accomplishments and experience. The previous day she had attended the ITA’s Hall of Fame induction in Williamsburg where she and five other athletes and coaches were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

JoAnne answered questions and played exhibition matches with many folks throughout the day. A great time was had by all and we hope you attended!

Bare Hills Awarded USTA’s ‘Facility of the Year’ for 2011

Bare Hills is proud to announce that we have been awarded the USTA’s ‘Facility of the Year’ award for 2011 in the Maryland District. The USTA gives this honor to only the greatest of establishments and we are proud to be among them.

The award recognizes the abilities of the instructors, coaches, management and other staff that helped to make Bare Hills the best place to cause a raquet!
